The national standard GB/T30163-2013 "High-temperature temperature top-fired hot blast stove energy-saving technical specification for blast furnace" was officially published. The standard was proposed by China Iron and Steel Association, Shougang Corporation, Shandong Huimin Technology Development Co., Ltd., Metallurgical Information Standardization Research Institute and other units. It was approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and China National Standardization Administration on December 31, 2013. The release will be officially implemented on June 15, 2014.

According to experts, the standard is designed to achieve energy saving and emission reduction in the metallurgical industry, fully recovering the low calorific value blast furnace gas and the flue gas residual heat of the hot blast stove, reducing the blast furnace gas emission rate and improving the thermal efficiency of the hot blast stove, and reducing the energy consumption of the iron making process. At the same time, it is necessary to standardize the energy-saving measures and expected values ​​that should be achieved for high-temperature top-fired hot blast stoves for blast furnaces. The release and implementation of this standard is of great significance for the realization of high efficiency and energy saving of ironmaking, and accelerates the promotion and application of energy-saving technologies related to high radiation coating.

It is understood that the standard defines the high-radiation coating technology and puts forward clear requirements for its promotion and use in the blast furnace hot blast stove. The standard proposes that the high-radiation coating is on the surface of the regenerator and is coated with a material with an emissivity higher than the emissivity of the substrate; in order to achieve high wind temperature, a high-radiation coating should be applied to the surface of the regenerator and the dome. It is recommended to use high-radiation coating materials in the high temperature zone of the hot blast stove.
