Publication and distribution of energy-saving technical standards for high air temperature top-fired hot blast stoves

The national standard GB/T30163-2013 "Technical Specifications for Energy Saving of High Air Temperature Top-fired Hot Blast Furnaces for Blast Furnaces" was officially published and distributed recently. The standard was proposed by China Iron and Steel Association and drafted by Shougang Corporation, Shandong Huimin Technology Development Co., Ltd., Metallurgical Information Standardization Research Institute and other units. It was approved and released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the National Standardization Administration of China on December 31, 2013, and will be officially implemented on June 15, 2014.

According to relevant experts, the formulation of this standard aims to achieve energy saving and emission reduction in the metallurgical industry, fully recover and utilize low calorific value blast furnace gas and the waste heat of the hot blast stove's own flue gas, reduce the blast furnace gas emission rate and improve the thermal efficiency of the hot blast stove, and reduce the energy consumption of the ironmaking process. At the same time, standardize the energy-saving measures and expectations that must be met for high-temperature top-burning hot blast stoves for blast furnaces. The release and implementation of this standard is of great significance to the realization of high efficiency and energy saving in ironmaking, and accelerate the promotion and application of energy-saving technologies related to high-radiation cladding.

It is understood that the standard has made a normative definition of high-radiation coating technology, and put forward clear requirements for its promotion and use in blast furnace hot blast stoves. The standard proposes: high-radiation coating is to coat a layer of material with an emissivity higher than that of the matrix on the surface of the regenerator; in order to achieve high air temperature, high-radiation coating should be applied on the surface and vault of the regenerator; it is recommended that high-radiation coating materials should also be used in the high temperature area of the lattice brick of the hot blast stove.
