According to the density and shape of the product, there are sintering method, melt casting method and melt injection method. The sintering method is to pre-sintering part of the raw materials into clinker, crushing and sieving, and then mixing with the raw meal according to a certain ratio, through molding, drying and firing. The purpose of raw material pre-firing is to burn off the gas decomposed by moisture, organic impurities and sulfates in it, so as to reduce the firing shrinkage of the product and ensure the accuracy of the product's external dimensions. The raw materials also need to be sieved after crushing and grinding, because the blanks are graded with powders of different particle sizes, which can ensure the closest accumulation to obtain a dense body.

In order to homogenize the composition and particles of various raw materials and clinkers, mixing should be carried out, and binders should be added at the same time to enhance the bonding strength of the blanks. For example, aluminum silicate blanks are added with bound clay, magnesia blanks are added with sulfite pulp waste liquid, and siliceous blanks are added with lime milk. According to the moisture content of the blanks, semi-dry molding (about 5% moisture), plastic molding (about 15% moisture) and grouting (about 40% moisture) can be used. Then dry and fire. The melting and casting method is to melt the raw materials at high temperature through processes such as mixing and fine grinding of batches, directly cast them, and crystallize and anneal them into products. Such as melting and casting mullite bricks, corundum bricks and magnesia bricks, etc. Their green bodies are dense, with high mechanical strength, high high temperature structural strength, good slag resistance, and the scope of use is constantly expanding. The melting and blowing method is to melt the ingredients and spray them into fibers or hollow spheres with high pressure air or superheated steam. Products are mainly used as lightweight refractory and thermal insulation materials. In addition, it can also be made into powdery or granular amorphous refractories, which can be cemented with binders such as tar, asphalt, cement, phosphate, sulfate or chloride when used, and can be used directly without molding and sintering.
